WELCOME TO WILLIAMSON’S MY FLORIST
The Williamson’s family started out as growers of fresh flowers and vegetables at Beechwood Nurseries around 1935, soon after opening their first flower shop the Williamson Family had enormous influence on the florist industry and its development of design led floristry over the years, having contributed to industry standards and designed for many worldwide design publications, then using this influence and knowledge of the floristry industry in the late 70s to expand the company to be the largest independent employer within retail floristry in the UK, with a lot of great customer support over the years Williamson’s florist continued to expanded their high street presence to a peak of 14 flower shops and over 140 staff on high streets throughout Scotland,
In 1997 the Williamson’s family identified a change in shopping habits expressed by our valued customers so in 1998 www.myflorist.co.uk was born, 26 years later our online purchasing channel www.myflorist.co.uk sits integrated alongside our traditional high street retailing.
When Covid 19 started businesses were forced to close to ensure social distancing and contact was restricted Williamsons staff moved from some of our smaller high street Flower Shops to work from our larger flower delivery centres in Livingston and Dundee where we had lots of room to create the most beautiful arrangements required during this sad time and our valued customer found it easy to use our already in use online channel to order fresh flowers from Williamsons My Florist.
When we were able to socialize again without restriction Williamsons florist have continued to utilize our flower delivery centres to hand deliver fresh flowers from Forfar throughout Perthshire over to Gleneagles down to West Lothian on to Edinburgh and back through all of Fife to Broughty Ferry.
